A Typical Sunday

Summer is starting to fade, as evidenced by the cooler air (most noticeably at night) and the appearance of brightly colored berries instead of flowers everywhere.

Yesterday, we did what so many of the Dutch do on Sunday, and enjoyed the the day, soaking in the sunshine and cycling through the dunes. As most places are closed on Sunday (something which took some getting used to, but to which we now look forward), it is a day meant for such things and families were walking, cycling, horseback riding and enjoying ice cream cones, or picnics of apples and cheese.
We are fortunate to live in a beautiful area near the North Sea, which we get to by riding through the dunes. There are many beaches, and miles and miles of bike path in several directions.

Here are a few pics that will give you an idea of the kind of day it was.
